Still Alive!!!

It has certainly been a while and lots have changed. The biggest change of all was moving back to Canada :-) It's awesome seeing my family again and meeting some new members. With all our stuff still in storage and us crashing at my sister's place, it is simply impossible to create anything. Not to mention I need a new graphics card for my computer because my fan broke and it fried...oops!!! LOL Hoping to get a job soon so we can get our own place and give my sister and her family back their space.

Please keep us in your prayers while we adjust to all these new changes and hopefully I shall get backto creating some awesome stuff for you all. Thank you for the continued support even when I thought I had lost all my creativity.

Back With A New Kit!!

It has definitely been a while since I last posted to my blog or made a kit. Things happen unexpected and often throws you off the path you have laid down for yourself. That is what happened to me, but I have no regrets for the events and the way they played out. I needed the break and it obviously came at a time when I was most stressed out :-) It took me longer to get back in the swing of things but my latest kit is proof that I'm back full force and ready to design again. I will post some freebies in the coming days hopefully and I hope you all will bare with me as I try to get myself established again and get my footing steady under me as I try to juggle my personal life and my love for digital scrapping :-)

To those who supported me through these tough times...THANK YOU....THANK YOU!!!! Without you I would not be here designing again. OK...enough rambling LOL here is my new kit..."Lazy Days" obviously inspired by my many days when I had no desire or motivation to design and wanted to do absolutely nothing but be lazy and lounge about!!

Finally Back Online!!

Hello everyone! After almost 2 months offline and without a place to live, I'm happy to say that we finally got our house and getting settled in. It is so good to be back online and I can't wait to get back into to groove of making kits and freebies again. I hope to have some as soon as we get the house organized. New Layouts!!

I have been busy packing for the move, so I haven't had my mind in creating a new kit or creating freebies. I'm so sorry for that, but I promise to have some freebie once the move is complete. In the meantime though, to relax from packing and all, I've been playing with some amazing kits and have created a couple layouts. About time I start catching up on my layouts LOL.

This kit is so versatile....it works with either old or new photos that you give an "aged" look and it fits right in. All the pieces go so well together and the colors compliment each other very well.

Kit used : Beach House by Jillann's Creations

I love anything with blue, but this kit has my favorite tone of blue. The colors match so well and are perfect for those seaside or lakeside pictures.

Charity Kit : "Hopes & Dreams For Farrah"

The definition of charity is the generosity to others. One very special Designer has offered her charity to so many and now its time for us to give back to her. She has been a huge asset to the digi scrap community.

There is no amount of words to describe Farrah. She has been a mentor to many, a best friend, a shoulder when we needed it and shes just one Hell of an amazing woman. She has endured many obstacles in her life and has always overcame them and I am confident that she will overcome this also.

When we are faced with the uncertainty of medicinal science, we always fear the worst. A strong support system is vital at times like this and we are so honored that so many people want to help her and her children out.

At this time we are uncertain about what will evolve from Farrah's upcoming tests but either way she will need help emotionally and financially to get through this. I could get on my soap box and go on and on about the health care issues we face in America but there is no need as most know how bad it is.

I am asking for everyone's help in this battle that Farrah is facing. All profits will go directly to Farrah to offset her medical expenses and help with any other expenses she may have due to missing work for doctor appointments.

This was my 6th photo in my folder and it is of a Mayan pyramid at Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico. This photo was taken when I did an exchange student program for a month there and got to do some site seeing on our days off. I also got the chance to climb the very same pyramid in the picture. It was a fun but rather dizzy experience once you were at the top LOL

Classy Cazzie Freebie!!

I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience to anyone but it's the precaution I have to take to ensure safety to your own computers.

And now for your freebie. It's a set of 2 6x4 brag books and a set of pocket tags, 1 back and 2 fronts. All created at 300 ppi for printing quality. **Getting on my soap box** I was recently asked to put sizes on my previews and told that 300 dpi is not a size. I would like to think I'm not that dumb or I wouldn't be doing what I do. I'm sorry if I don't always put sizes, sometimes it eludes me and I forget. Call me human I guess. And just so no one gets confused ppi (pixels per inch) is used in scrapping and dpi (dots per inch) is used for printers. I make most of my freebies for full size and when I have time I make it for both. **Getting off my soap box now**

I did this layout with the gorgeous new tagger kit from Katie By Designs. Even though it is a tagger kit I was able to do a 12x12 layout for my friend and it turned out super. Freebie Collaboration Christmas Kit!!!

Snow is starting to accumulate on the ground, the decorations are up and in the air a festive mood is building. Despite the economy, it's beginning to sound and look a lot like Christmas!!! Hence the name my dear friend Cazzie and I decided to name this collaboration kit. Of course, down in Australia there is no snow at this moment but the joy and spirit of Christmas is still there. We had a lot of fun with this kit and we hope you have fun scrapping your beautiful memories or making gorgeous tags.

First of all, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has left me comments either here on my blog or on 4shared. You truly have no idea what they mean to me...A LOT!!!!! It's you saying how much you appreciate my work and that I'm still doing a good job and you have faith in me. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!!

As for 4shared, you all know it's hard to leave comments these days. Well, I contacted them to let them know just how important those comments are to all of us digi-scrappers. I got a reply back saying they are working on it and it was simply a technical issue they are having. So hopefully soon, comments will be back to the way it was and I can once again enjoy reading every single one of them.

My First Award!!!!!! Wooo Hooo!!!

Wow, even a day after finding out my very good friend Cazzie from Cazzie's Scraps gave me an award, I'm still very much in awe. Can you believe it? It is possible? LOL Gorgeous isn't it? Thank you so much Cazzie...I love you girl!!!

Now comes the difficult part of choosing 3 people to give the award to. Yikes...so many to choose from LOL Rules are pretty simple if you get this award, you have to pass it on to 3 other blog Scrap Designers.

Last Butterflies Freebie In The Script Series

Hi everyone, so sorry I didn't post this earlier. I just wasn't feeling too good, so I took the weekend off for myself. Still not feeling "creative", but I pushed myself to finish these gorgeous butterflies since I promised I would. This is the last butterfly in this script series, so I hope you have learned what you can do with them even after the scripts stop running. Bonnie leaves all the layers unmerged in her scripts so that you can arrange or work on the layers to truly make the items your own.

So, this is what the script makes.

I simply added some noise and sparkle to the wings and voila...magical transformation.

I just want to say that Bonnie's scripts are wonderful designer resources. No matter if you're just starting out (like me) or well established, there is something for everyone. I truly enjoy working with her scripts and I'm sure you will too. So head on over to Memory Junkies and see for yourselves.

Second Butterflies Freebie in this script series!!!

Alright, just finished the second freebie in this series of making butterflies with Bonnie's script. FUN FUN FUN!!!!! OK, this is the second butterfly script and i just LOOOOOVE the transparent wings. Makes it look all faerie like, don't you think??

This is what the script makes for you!

And I simply added some noise and glitters to the wings to show that sometimes less is more. Two little steps and the wings looks like it was made out of sheer material sprinkled with glitters. Something anyone can do...yes...even you!!!!

Demonstration And A New Freebie!!

As you all know by now, I'm a proud member of Bonnie's Creative Team. And she just released 3 new scripts today available for purchase at Memory Junkies, Ahhh Scrap and Berry Bliss Scrapz. I've been having so much fun with them and I will show you what you can do with your butterflies created with these scripts. I'm going to demonstrate 1 script a day so you don't get too confused.

OK, so this is what I did with script #1

And this is what happened after my creativity went wild LOL

This is just to show you that once you're done making your butterfly with your script, you can truly make them as unique as your creativity and imagination will let you. You can use the script over and over and never really make the same butterfly. Don't you just love that???

New Freebie "Let The Games Begin"

Hello everyone!! Did any of you following the Olympics? I was glued in front of the TV for the past 2 weeks, which is why you haven't really seen me on here LOL. But I have been working on a new kit for you and it's FINALLY done...YAY!!! I was wanting to release the kit since the Olympics began but had some problems with some elements. I basically had to start over because I couldn't use Olympics Rings logo in the kit because they are copyrighted by the USOC (US Olympic Committee). Since they denied me permission to use the rings, I had to be a bit more creative and created my own logo although different. Please DO NOT, in any way shape or form, change the way my rings look, meaning the way they are interlaced. You MAY NOT make them look like the original Olympic Rings logo, since they will be associated with my kit and I want no trouble with the IOC LOL. SO, although the Olympics are over, without further ado, here is my kit in honor of the Games!!!

I don't have anything made for the 4th of July but I thought I could show something else I made today. While I was at the post yesterday, I saw this prayer for military wives in a frame on the wall. Then today while reading my e-mails, this lady asked to pray for her and her family as she was getting married and shortly after her new husband was going away to Army training. I was inspired by both to come up with this tag using the "Muted Earth" kit by Sweath Creations which you can find on her blog HERE.
